Description

Astonishingly Fine Key Date 100 Francs

Republic gold 100 Francs 1894-A MS64★ NGC, Paris mint, KM832, Fr-590, Gad-1137. Boasting enormous degrees of eye-appeal, owing to the finely die-polished open expanses generating a sublime luminosity to the fields. The rarest of all business-strikes with a tiny mintage of only 143 examples, of which just 22 are presently certified and only two of those have been awarded a higher technical grade. Bestowed with the coveted 'star' designation for superior attractiveness, the present offering is brimming with character and quality of finish that seems to know no bounds. Faintest wisps can be noted under close scrutiny of the rose-gold fields, yet take exceedingly little away from the almost Prooflike appearance of this near-Gem treasure. As such, this beautiful rarity is undoubtedly destined to a world-class collection of the finest French gold coinage.
