Description

1918 Cent, MS67 Red
Seldom Seen So Fine

1918 1C MS67 Red PCGS. The end of the Great War which we today call World War I saw an enormous production of more than 288 million Lincoln cents in Philadelphia, plus 82 million more between Denver and San Francisco. Few survive so fine as the present P-mint Superb Gem Red example, showing richly lustrous golden-tan surfaces with a bold strike (save for the PL in PLURIBUS on the reverse rim, a function of die fatigue) and nary a quibble in terms of carbon or contact. Population: 33 in 67 (4 in 67+) Red, 1 finer (5/16).
