Immaculate PR67 "Waitangi" Crown
George V Proof "Waitangi" Crown 1935 PR67 NGC, KM6, Dav-443.
Mintage: 468. Struck to commemorate the Treaty of Waitangi, the
accord signed in 1840 between representatives of Britain and Maori
chiefs of the North Island of New Zealand. Among the most coveted
and instantly recognizable British Crown types of the 20th century,
this "Waitangi" Crown easy impresses from even afar. While the vast
majority of these stunning, Art Deco-influenced pieces land firmly
in the Choice to Gem tier of preservation, the piece at hand
remains nearly unmatched. Virtually pristine, metallic fields
decorate both faces, projecting the engraved devices towards the
viewer that truly enhance the coin's visual caliber. With only two
others receiving a technical PR67 designation, we expect fervent
