1850 1C N-12, R.1, MS65+ Red PCGS. CAC. Ex: Mervis. Grellman Die State b. A beautiful peach-gold cent that exhibits vibrant luster and exceptional eye appeal. The color is slightly mellowed only on the field inside the wreath. Carbon is confined to a pair of tiny flecks between star 10 and the hairbun. Contact is limited to a hair-thin line on the wreath left of the C in CENT. A magnificent type coin. Both Grellman and Noyes rank this example as CC#1. Grellman grades it MS67. Noyes calls it MS68. Our EAC grade MS66. PCGS Date Population: 23 in 65 Red (3 in 65+), 1 finer. PCGS N-12 Population: 2 in 65 Red (1 in 65+), 1 finer (11/21).
