British India. Victoria Proof Restrike 1/2 Rupee 1877-(c) PR67★ NGC, Calcutta mint, KM491, S&W-6.171. Type A bust, Type II reverse. Virtually immaculate and entirely captivating from every angle, an unusually frosty finish present over Victoria's bust, compared to the usual flatness seen on later restrikes, which when coupled with relatively light evidence of die rust may suggest an earlier restrike. Well paired with mottled merlot and blueberry peripheral tones, this stands a full 2 points higher than the next finest in the NGC census.Metal: Silver
