1953 Photoplay Magazine Gold Medal
'From Here to Eternity'
Tiffany & Co. New York
Photoplay 14K Gold Medal (1953) Presented to
Columbia Pictures, Producers of "From Here to
Eternity." A gold medal from 1953 given to Columbia
Pictures by Photoplay magazine. The engraved side of this
62mm (approximately 2 ½ inch) diameter medal reads: "Presented on
Behalf of / The American Movie-Going / Public To / Columbia
Pictures / Producers of / "From Here to Eternity" / Most Popular
Motion Picture / for the Year 1953." This medal comes in its
original leather-wrapped hinged and latched case, velvet-lined on
the interior, by Tiffany & Co. New York. Both the medal and the
case are in excellent condition, with working hinges and latch on
the case. There are a few minor marks and light corner wear on the
outside case. The medal weighs 159.8 grams. 14KT. GOLD M engraved
on the edge.
