1883-CC Liberty Eagle, AU55
Low-Mintage Carson City Issue

1883-CC $10 AU55 NGC. CAC. Winter 3-D. Prooflike surfaces retain much of their reflectivity despite light abrasions. The Carson City mintage of just 12,000 pieces yielded few survivors in AU or better conditions. This Choice AU offers considerable remaining luster and generous eye appeal, with original orange-gold surfaces and sharp details. The abrasions are minor and less frequent than expected for the grade and mint. The high quality within the grade is confirmed by CAC. An opportunity for the perceptive collector of rare date gold. CAC: 6 in 55, 7 finer (6/25).(Registry values: N2998)
