Description

William III 1/2 Crown 1698 MS65 NGC, KM492.2, S-3494, ESC-554. A selection which clearly defies the norm for William's coinage, not only be its preservation, but on account of its sheer technical execution as a whole. Nowhere to be found is the usual shallowness of the king's portrait, replaced instead by crisp detail and sharply raised rims which serve as borders for original watery luster. Flow lines dominate fields tinged with champagne luster, accentuating the eye appeal still further. One of three MS65's currently in the NGC census, and a through-and-through connoisseur's coin.

Metal: Silver
Diameter: 32.3mm
