1907 $20 High Relief, Wire Rim -- Cleaned -- PCGS Genuine. AU Details. A light cleaning keeps this piece from a numeric grade, but aside from light hairlines the coin presents nicely for the AU level. Scattered small abrasions and a touch of high-point wear are familiar characteristics of an AU-level piece, and this coin retains most of its design definition, which is the source of popularity for the issue itself. Only 12,367 High Relief Saint-Gaudens twenties were struck, and while many survive today, any example is in high demand from type collectors. For many collectors, a 1907 High Relief twenty is the only double eagle they will acquire for their collections.
