George III gold Sovereign 1820 MS62 PCGS, KM674, S-3785C. Large date variety. A handsome survivor of George III's last coinage, distinguished by technically superior appearances the result of steam presses that has recently been introduced at the Tower mint. Full brilliance abounds this near-Choice Mint State example where the census drops substantially in finer designations, this piece limited only by the occasional contact mark witnessed to the field and cheek of the sitter's portrait.
