Not Sold Description
1896-S Half Dollar, MS65
Upper-End for the Grade
1896-S 50C MS65 PCGS. This Gem Barber half is almost devoid
of abrasions, with soft, satiny luster illuminating a thin blanket
of light golden toning which allows occasional glimpses of deeper
olive and russet around the peripheries. A few faint roller marks
on Liberty's cheek are Mint-made and do not affect the grade. The
eagle's talons are sharp, but some minor weakness shows on the
upper-right corner of the shield. Population: 10 in 65, 5 finer
(10/15).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24LX, PCGS# 6476, Greysheet# 6587)
