Description

1909-S Indian Head Cent
MS65 Red and Brown
Exceptional Eye Appeal

1909-S 1C MS65 Red and Brown NGC. Golden tones accent the frosty luster of this beautifully preserved Gem cent which is set against orange-gold patina. Uniform dustings of chestnut lie on both sides, serving as the foundation of cartwheel effects that radiate with flashes of copper-gold for exceptional eye appeal. The upper three headdress feathers reflect slight softness, which is consistent with this issue, and devices have minor abrasions that are microscopic and limit the grade. NCG reports only 11 numerically finer in Red and Brown (2/25).(Registry values: N1793)
