Description

1889-CC Morgan Dollar, MS61
Subtle Field Reflectivity

1889-CC $1 MS61 PCGS. VAM-2. Ex: Desert Find. Dazzling cartwheel luster rolls vibrantly through brilliant fields glinting with slight reflectivity, while the central devices boast a sharp strike and frosty luster in equal measure throughout the small details and elevated surfaces. Moderate abrasions on Liberty's cheek and through the obverse fields define the grade and are reminiscent of norms for this Carson City issue. The reverse alone might have garnered a higher grade. Eye appeal excels abundantly for the grade, lending high technical merit to a coin with a captivating discovery story. Moreover, it has not yet been reviewed by CAC.

VAM-2 diagnostics are clear on both sides, including numerous die lines throughout the devices and a spindly crack through the base of the date.(Registry values: P9, N4719)
