each side. The mostly brilliant surfaces of this exquisite 1909
nickel reveal delicate glints of golden color. The fields remain
unabraded and seemingly as-struck, while the devices show a
complete impression. All of these -- the satiny luster, clean
surfaces, strong strike -- make the present offering attractive to
collectors, but what undoubtedly sets this coin apart is its status
