Description
Pedro II gold "Azevedo" 6400 Reis 1832-R AU Details (Cleaned) PCGS, Rio de Janeiro mint, KM387.2, LMB-612. First type, Azevedo F. Variety with branches apart from the shield. Mintage: 4,101. An elusive variety showcasing the engraver's signature below the young bust of Pedro II, an uncommon occurrence for Brazilian gold issues of the period. Displaying a rather unobtrusive cleaning that has resulted in minor hairlines but has left some original color and residual luster intact. A choice example for an issue with this type of qualifier, and an offering that we expect to pique the interest of Brazilian specialists.Metal: Gold
