A Rarity from the RLM Collection
João V gold 1600 Reis 1729-B F12 NGC, Bahia mint, KM127
(Rare), LMB-77, Guimaraes-1729-1.1. First shield variety. A scarce
two-year issue, showing evenly worn motifs with ample remaining
detail. Missing from several important collections, it's only the
second example we have managed to locate sold in the last couple of
decades, standing as the second finest graded by NGC.Ex. RLM Collection (Heritage Auction #3024, April 2013, Lot 23188)
