Description

Near-Gem "Birds Over Junk" Dollar

Republic Sun Yat-sen "Birds Over Junk" Dollar Year 21 (1932) MS64 PCGS, Shanghai mint, KM-Y344, L&M-108, Kann-622, WS-0144. One of the more celebrated in the Chinese series' entirety, displaying this prolific portrait of Sun Yat-sen paired with this rare variety "Birds Over Junk" motif on the reverse. This near-Gem designation is a "sweet-spot" grade before the type becomes mostly unattainable to quality-conscious bidders. Luxurious luster and a soft autumnal patina leave little to be desired, the reverse motifs also impressing with clarity and depth. The best offering of this type in our auction, and easily earning that title given the standout appearance at hand.

MS64 PCGS。
