Exceedingly Scarce in Mint State

Kuang Mu gold 10 Won Year 10 (1906) MS61 NGC, Osaka mint, KM1130, J&V-AD5 (R), CKCB-28.2. Mintage: 5,000. This stunning piece is a bold representative of one of the most iconic Korean types, displaying a consistent rich amber palette and mesmerizing luster that continues to whirl around fields. Featured on the cover of The Catalog of Korean Coins and Banknotes (2013 edition), the 10 Won is an incredibly popular issue of the nation despite its issuance during the period of Japanese occupation. With a short production of only two years and many pieces retained by the Bank of Japan to back gold notes or later melted, the 1909 issues are virtually unattainable and these 1906 dates are incredibly scarce. As such, surviving specimens are exceptionally desirable to collectors, especially in Mint State designations.

大阪造幣廠。鑄造量﹕5,000枚。這枚叫人眼前一亮的金幣是韓國最具標誌性的錢幣之一，呈現出深峻有致的琥珀色澤，光澤在底板之上繚繞流淌，令人神往不已。這款十圜金幣曾亮相於2013年版的韓國貨幣價格圖錄封面上，可見雖然出自日佔時期，但仍為極受青睞的韓國錢幣。此幣發行僅有兩年，大多都被日本銀行貯藏起來以支持紙幣，隨後便被融化。出自1909年者幾乎無一存世，1906年者亦可遇不可求。故此，這枚存世例子對收藏家有著無與倫比的吸引力，其原廠狀態品相更是可遇不可求。
