1806 50C Pointed 6, No Stem, O-109, T-15, R.1, AU50 NGC. Tompkins Die State 4/3. O-109 is the sole Pointed 6, No Stem die variety but is readily obtained by those who collect by Guide Book listings. The present butter-gold and slate-gray example exhibits pockets of bright luster and is void of visible abrasions. Evenly struck and lightly circulated with considerable detail on Liberty's hair and the eagle's wings.Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 9/2012), lot 4500, which realized $3,818.75.
