Description

1787 COPPER Nova Eborac Copper, Large Head -- Damaged -- NGC Details. XF. Breen-985, W-5750, R.6. Much rarer than the usually seen "Normal Head" W-5755. The first example of the variety we have auctioned since October 2010. This example has pleasing chocolate-brown toning and there are no planchet deficiencies. The surfaces are somewhat wavy with a number of small roundish digs on the portrait. Another dig is beneath the left (facing) shoulder, the rims show a few tiny dings, the cheek has a vertical gouge, and a pinscratch crosses the chin. Listed on page 68 of the 2013 Guide Book.
