1793 Liberty Cap Cent, S-13, Fair 2
1793 1C Liberty Cap, S-13, B-20, Low R.4, Fair 2 PCGS. Just enough of the reverse remains for positive identification as the die that was used for S-13, S-14, S-16, and NC-6. There is no trace of the bisecting crack that always appears on S-14, and the tops of LIBERTY are complete, eliminating S-16. The spacing of LIBERTY confirms that this piece is S-13. Although well worn and lightly cleaned at one time, this attractive example has no imperfections aside from a few scattered and trivial marks.
