Description

1902 Silver Dollar, PR67 CAC
Pristine and Colorfully Toned

1902 $1 PR67 PCGS. CAC. The proof 1902 silver dollar has always been scarce, courtesy of a mintage of just 777 pieces. Examples with white-on-black contrast are practically unknown, since PCGS has certified a total of only three coins as Cameo (10/20). Neither leading service has graded an example as either Deep Cameo or Ultra Cameo. Overall, PCGS has certified fewer than 300 pieces, and the Population drops off rapidly above PR64. Superb Gems are very rare. This pristine specimen displays beautiful ocean-blue toning, with glimpses of orange-gold and plum-red near selected areas of brilliance. Population: 8 in 67 (3 in 67+), 3 finer. CAC: 6 in 67, 2 finer (10/20).(Registry values: N4719)
