1859 $10 AU58 NGC. CAC. Although not as rare as the branch
mint issues of this date, the 1859 Philadelphia eagle is elusive in
all grades. High-end AU coins are rare, and the few known Mint
State pieces are out of reach for most collectors. This is the sole
second-finest example with CAC endorsement (9/21). Bright
wheat-gold surfaces yield remnants of luster and bold detail, with
scattered abrasions throughout. Census: 23 in 58, 9 finer. CAC: 1
