1854 3CS MS65 PCGS. CAC. The year 1854 saw the debut of the Type Two three cent silver, with outlines around the star on the obverse. This Gem example is scarce, and it is rare with the CAC green label. Finer examples seldom become available. This outstanding type is sharp and satiny with dusky olive-gold toning over each side. Population: 55 in 65 (1 in 65+), 21 finer. CAC: 28 in 65, 15 finer (7/19).(Registry values: N2998)
