Description

1881 Dime, PR67
Spectacularly Toned

1881 10C F-101, R.3, PR67 PCGS. CAC. Only 24,000 circulation-strike dimes were minted in 1881, plus 975 proofs for numismatic purposes. The latter often serve as high-grade alternatives for the former, which prove extremely rare in Superb Gem condition. This PR67 example boasts an even layer of sea-green and cobalt-blue patina over deeply reflective fields. Contrast is subdued but the eye appeal is spectacular, accounting for the CAC endorsement. Population: 10 in 67 (2 in 67+), 0 finer (6/16).
