Description

1920 5C MS66 PCGS. This lustrous and attractively toned 1920 is sharply struck for the Philadelphia issue. The mintage was large -- more than 63 million pieces -- requiring many dies, where this Premium Gem example was certainly an early strike. Smooth, satiny fields surround crisply struck devices and rich golden shades merge into lavender and tan-gold central motifs. The eye appeal is terrific. PCGS reports just 18 numerically finer 1920 examples (4/18).(Registry values: N1793)
