1720 Betts-145 Medal, AU Details
Founding of Louisbourg, Nova Scotia

1720 Medal Founding of Louisbourg, Bronze, Betts-145 -- Scratch -- PCGS Genuine. AU Details. 41.2 mm, 32.0 gm. Obverse signed by I. Le Blanc. The obverse displays a youthful right-facing bust of Louis XV, dressed in armor and draped. The reverse depicts a lovely scene of the founding of Louisburg on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Lovely chocolate-brown color along with hints of lavender, gold, and sky-blue create a pleasing appearance. A few very thin scratches below the portrait pose little if any distraction.
