Description

1836 Half Dime, MS65
Small 5C, V-2, LM-4
Mostly Brilliant

1836 H10C Small 5C, V-2, LM-4, R.2, MS65 NGC. This well-preserved Gem is the Small 5C variety that features a doubled star 1 and a repunched O on the reverse, along with a smaller sized denomination. Sharply struck on a mostly brilliant palette, very light hues of champagne-silver float occasionally over smooth, satiny surfaces that show little evidence of imperfections. The Small 5C variety has fewer graded examples than its Large 5C counterpart, and NGC reports only one finer example in the LM-4 variety (4/25).
