Not Sold Description
1793 1/2 C Poor 1 PCGS. The obverse die is the same used to strike C-1 and C-2. The reverse is worn smooth without any design detail. C-1 and C-2 can usually be distinguished from the obverse alone by the presence or absence of a spur from the 9, but wear on the present coin makes this diagnostic unreliable. LIBERTY and the date are partially evident upon magnification, but the portrait is nearly fully outlined. Pinscratches are noted near the profile with a couple more on the cheekbone and forehead.
