Description

1860 Indian Cent, MS67
Copper-Nickel Type Coin

1860 1C MS67 PCGS. The copper-nickel composition was short-lived for the Indian cent, produced only from 1859 to early 1864. Most of the issues in this date range are plentiful overall, but they universally become scarce at the Superb Gem level. The 1860 is one of the more plentiful copper-nickel issues in MS67, although even it is little-seen at this grade level. We have seen only a handful of Superb Gems in recent years. This 1860 coin boasts well-struck design elements and pristine, glistening tan-gold mint luster. The coin is devoid of bothersome abrasions. Population: 15 in 67 (2 in 67+), 0 finer (3/25).(Registry values: N4719)
