Description

1915 Buffalo Nickel, PR66+
Very Scarce Any Finer

1915 5C PR66+ NGC. CAC. A small mintage of 1,050 matte proof Buffalo nickels was accomplished in 1915 and few examples have survived in grades above PR66. This Plus-graded Premium Gem exhibits razor-sharp definition on all design elements and the broad, squared off rims that identify the proof issues. The impeccably preserved surfaces radiate satiny matte luster, with a few subtle hints of lavender and greenish-gold toning. NGC has graded 39 numerically finer examples (4/16).
