Description

1835 O-102 Half Dollar, MS65
Condition Census Quality

1835 50C O-102, R.3, MS65 NGC. Richly patinated in mauve, powder-blue, and golden-brown shades. Exceptionally free from contact, and well struck aside from a few stars. The reverse die previously struck O-101, and this later die state example has minimal dentilation on that side. O-101 is similar to the scarcer O-102, but O-101 has a curved 5 in the date, while O-102 has a flat top 5. In the Condition Census for the variety, topped by an MS65+ NGC example we offered in our 2014 Chicago ANA Signature.
