1990 No S Cent, Vivid PR67 Red Deep Cameo
Key to the Proof Memorial Series
1990 1C No S, FS-101, PR67 Red Deep Cameo PCGS. Every
collector of proof Lincoln Memorial cents must have the rare No S
cent as part of the set, yet the apparent population of fewer than
200 pieces in Red Deep Cameo can satisfy but a small percentage of
the legions who desire this key issue. Ranked Number 13 in Ron
Guth's 100 Greatest U.S. Modern Coins, the missing-mintmark
cent is still found in some Prestige Proof sets, but the
discoveries become fewer and less frequent every day. The present
example is vivid fire-red with highly contrasted motifs against the
stippled and deeply mirrored fields. A tiny alloy lump at the point
