Description
1788 COPPER New Jersey Copper, Running Fox Before Legend, VF30 PCGS. M. 75-bb, W-5520, R.4. A medium brown state copper with generally pleasing surfaces. A couple of lightly brought up areas on the reverse retain the striated texture of the planchet. The "Running Fox" is at 7:30 on the reverse. The left obverse and right reverse borders exhibit bold die breaks, customary for this popular die marriage.
