Description
Bavaria. Ludwig I "Order of Merit" Taler 1837 MS64 Prooflike NGC, Munich mint, KM790, Dav-580. Order of St. Michael as Order of Merit, established in 1729 by Elector Charles Albert of Bavaria, was initially a military order and later evolved into a dynastic order of merit, primarily recognizing service and loyalty to the Bavarian crown. Flashy and impressive, this piece features practically no toning on the stunning Prooflike fields, showcasing exceptional quality akin to the example we saw in the esteemed Cape Coral specimen.More information about German Coins.
