British India. Victoria gold 10 Rupees 1870-(c) MS61 NGC, Calcutta mint, KM479, S&W-4.15, Prid-28. Reeded edge. Mature Bust. Mintage: 7,932. A highly desirable original business strike, this rare gold issue boasts touches of underlying brilliance and an attractive light saffron hue. The obverse displays mild chatter in the open fields and a scrape behind the Queen's bust, while fine die polish lines on the reverse add welcome vibrancy.
