Description

1923-S 25C -- Questionable Color -- PCGS Genuine. Unc Details. A sharp example of this semikey date, showing bold date numerals and shield rivets. Liberty's temple is fully defined, although we stop just short of calling this coin Full Head due to minute weakness of the hairline at the ear. Still, the strike is exceptional. Luster is satiny with lilac-gold toning overall. Light contact is evident on Liberty's knee. Accompanied by the lot card from the Hawkins Collection of 1980.
Ex: The Jody Hawkins Collection (Robert L. Hughes, 6/1980), lot 1186.
From The Cody Brady Collection.
