1858 Flying Eagle Cent, VF35
Rotated Double Struck
1858 1C Small Letters Flying Eagle Cent -- Double Struck, Second
Strike Rotated 180 Degrees -- VF35 NGC. Low Leaves. Open E in
ONE. The first strike was normal, but the coin was struck a second
time, rotated nearly 180 degrees from the first impression. The
second strike was several degrees off center toward 5 o'clock, at
11 o'clock relative to the first strike. Both dates show, although
the top of the date from the first strike is affected by the second
strike. A problem-free tan-brown example with moderate wear on the
eagle's breast.
