Description
1807 50C Draped Bust, O-105, T-4, R.1 -- Obverse Spot Removed -- NGC Details. AU. Tompkins Die State 3/3. An attempt to remove an area of deeper toning or struck-in grease beneath stars 4 and 5 met with little success, and minor granularity exists there as a result. The strike is a bit soft at the centers -- a characteristic of the O-105 die pair -- yet the remaining devices are well-defined. Mint luster remains beneath light-gold and lilac toning.Auction Info
