Description

1807 O-112 Capped Bust Half Dollar
Two-Year Type, Choice AU

1807 50C Capped Bust, Large Stars, 50 Over 20, O-112, R.1, AU55 NGC. The middle arrowhead is recut, and the 2 below the 5 is bold. The Mint switched over to John Reich's Capped Bust design in 1807, leaving it untouched through 1808 before it was remodeled in 1809. Deep lavender patina resides over surfaces that show extensive silvery luster and a couple of trivial abrasions above the eagle. The stars are needle sharp. Struck from clashed dies.
