Description

1810 O-102 Bust Half, MS62
Intermediate Die State

1810 50C O-102, R.1, MS62 PCGS. A sharp and attractive Mint State example, closer to the late die state than otherwise, but lacking extension of the die crack above the legend beyond STATES. The chin and left wing show weakness of strike, one of the main characteristics of O-102a. In either die state, the O-102 is scarce in Mint State. This example exudes silver luster beneath a translucent veil of reddish-gold toning that gathers intensity at the borders. The surfaces are virtually mark-free. Population (All 1810 varieties): 25 in 62, 34 finer (5/16).
