PR64 1851 Annular Cent, Judd-127 Original

(1851) P1C One Cent, Judd-127 Original, Pollock-149, Low R.6, PR64 PCGS. Struck on a perforated annular planchet, characteristic of originals. Restrikes, possibly made decades later, lack the center hole. The obverse has CENT above and ONE TENTH SILVER below. The reverse shows a wreath of laurel around the second, larger ring with the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA outside. Struck in billon with a plain edge. A satiny, unabraded, and evenly struck pattern with olive-gray toning and only a whisper of carbon. Housed in a green label holder.
