Premium Gem 1878-CC Morgan
Lovely Multicolor Peripheral Toning
1878-CC $1 MS66 NGC. VAM-9. Beautiful golden-brown and
navy-blue patina enriches the borders. Well struck except on the
claws, and the lustrous surfaces display only incidental contact.
This early Carson City VAM is interesting for its many lengthy die
scratches on the lower reverse. Star 10 has a broken point, as
always for VAM-9.(Registry values: P4, N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 253M, PCGS# 7080, Greysheet# 7446)
