Description

1863 Silver Dollar, PR62
OC-P2, Scarce Civil War Date

1863 $1 PR62 PCGS. OC-P2, R.4. The turmoil of the Civil War limited silver dollar mintages in 1863. Only 460 proofs were struck, along with 27,200 commercial pieces. The present sharply struck specimen displays medium mahogany-brown toning. The borders show glimpses of gunmetal-gray. The eye appeal surpasses the numerical grade.
