1794 Talbot, Allum, & Lee Cent, NEW YORK, Lettered Edge, MS64 Red and Brown PCGS. Fuld-4, Rulau-E-NY-877, W-8590, R.1. Small ampersand. The tokens of New York City merchant Talbot, Allum & Lee were struck in Birmingham, England, by Peter Kempson & Co. Most Mint State examples are Brown, but the present Choice token displays many glimpses of the initial rose-red color. The open fields and high points are lightly toned steel-gray. The sole imperfection is a subtle gray spot near the second sail. Listed on page 43 of the 2026 Guide Book.
