Description

1924-S Buffalo Nickel, MS65
Elusive Issue in High Grade

1924-S 5C MS65 NGC. The 1924-S Buffalo nickel claims a low mintage of little more than 1.4 million pieces and few examples were saved by collectors. Gem representatives, like the present coin, are seldom encountered in today's market. This piece is well-detailed, showing just a touch of softness on the bison's shoulder, with subtle mint luster and hints of gold and ice-blue toning. Census: 19 in 65, 5 finer (11/16).
