Description

1889-CC Silver Dollar, XF45+
Strong Collector-Grade Example

1889-CC $1 XF45+ PCGS. Examples of the 1889-CC Morgan dollar in the upper circulated grades are increasingly difficult to acquire, particularly with attractive, original surfaces. This Choice XF coin will be exactly what many collectors are seeking. Elements of luster remain in the protected portions of the fields, while wear and surface abrasions are light. The obverse displays light champagne color, while the reverse is more deeply toned, showing russet, olive, gold, and lilac-gray patina. The originality is superb. This is one of only four coins for the grade at PCGS with a Plus designation (5/25).(Registry values: P9, N1793)
