Description

Augustin I Iturbide 8 Reales 1822 Mo-JM MS64 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM308. Choice Uncirculated with gorgeous golden steel toning and amazingly fresh surfaces with full mint luster. Struck from slightly clashed dies yet the surface quality is impeccable and most pleasant. Currently the single finest example of the type in the combined census of NGC and PCGS and very likely the finest extant since a superior coin is indeed very hard to imagine. A suiting companion to the previous lot with the same legendary provenance, immensely desirable in this magnificent quality and a coin destined to draw the most serious bidding attention.
Ex. Norweb  (Christie's Dallas 11/1985, lot 7) and V. Brand collections.
