1873 2C Closed 3 PR64 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. Closed 3
examples of the 1873 proof two cent piece are considered original
1873 strikings, while Open 3 coins are believed to be restrikes.
This Choice Red and Brown example displays mostly copper-red and
orange hues, with only some thin burgundy toning in the margins
that determine the Red and Brown designation. A sharp strike adds
to the eye appeal. Scattered pepper specks appear on each side.
