1895-O Silver Dollar, AU55
Important New Orleans Issue
1895-O $1 AU55 PCGS. The 1895-O and 1895-S Morgan dollars
are both important for collectors who enjoy the challenge of one
example for each coinage year. While the Philadelphia issue is a
proof-only issue, increased demand is present for the New Orleans
and San Francisco issues. This example has slight wear on the
highest design elements, retaining nearly full silver luster and
wisps of champagne toning. A dark toning spot at the P in PLURIBUS
will serve to identify this particular example that would fit
nicely in a primarily Mint State collection.(Registry values: P9, N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 255Y, PCGS# 7236, Greysheet# 7620)
